The short answer
What is a profit dashboard?
A profit dashboard shows what your business took in last month, and what it kept. One page, using your actual records.
Ours goes further. You'll see how much money each advertising channel brought back, any payments that don't match supplier invoices and which expense deserves your attention first.
We update it every month, by the 10th.
Return on ad spend
Find out which ads pay for themselves.
Your ad platforms tell you how many people clicked or sent an inquiry. They don't know who actually booked, showed up and paid.
We compare your advertising costs with your booking records and bank transactions. That gives you a figure you can use: how many dollars came back for every dollar you spent on each channel.
Our demo month at Halcyon Skin Studio
That month, the dashboard's advice was to pause Meta and move that money to Google Search.
How the dashboard works
How it works
- Upload by the 5thSend your bank statement, payroll export, booking export, ad account screenshots and any supplier invoices through your private upload page.
- We build it and check itWe match the figures across your files, put them into one page and write a plain-English account of what happened that month.
- Live on your phone by the 10thYour dashboard carries your business name, logo and colors. Only people you approve can access it. We'll email you when it's ready.
Profit more than doubled from August, but about $6,500 a month is still leaking out.
- Pause Meta Ads and move the $3,050 to Google Ads search, which returned $4.34 per $1.
- Cancel SpaSuite. You already pay for BookWell.
Before you hire a CFO
Not ready for a fractional CFO?
A fractional CFO can help with cash planning, hiring decisions and funding. But plenty of small businesses don't need that level of support yet.
They need to know where last month's money went.
That's what the profit dashboard is for. Every month, we organize your records, check the figures and explain what they mean. No additional employee to hire.
It isn't financial advice. And if you eventually bring in a fractional CFO or change accountants, they'll have a clear set of numbers to work from.

Questions
Straight answers.
How is a profit dashboard different from my accounting software?
Your accounting software records transactions. It doesn't necessarily tell you whether your advertising paid for itself or whether a supplier charged more than the agreed invoice.
We bring your bank, payroll, booking and advertising records together each month. Then we check the figures and show you where money is being lost, including how much each issue costs.
Is this a fractional CFO?
No. A fractional CFO helps with business strategy, cash planning and funding.
Our dashboard looks backward. It shows what happened last month, using figures checked against your records.
If you hire a CFO later, they'll have organized monthly figures from day one.
How do you work out return on ad spend?
We check what each advertising channel cost using your bank statement and ad account screenshots. Then we match bookings attributed to that channel with the payments those customers made.
You see how many dollars came back for every dollar spent, for each channel, every month.
What files do I need to send?
Your bank statement, payroll export, booking export, screenshots of your advertising accounts and any supplier invoices.
Please remove patient or customer names, contact details and treatment notes from your booking exports. We don't need that information.
How much does it cost?
It depends on how many different systems hold your business records.
There's a one-time setup charge followed by a monthly fee. During a free 15-minute demo, we'll look at what you use and give you a firm price.
You can cancel by email with 30 days' notice.
How is this different from my accountant?
Your accountant handles your books and taxes. We give you a checked view of last month's business performance by the 10th, written in plain English.
Keep your accountant. You'll still need them, especially to confirm the tax set-aside estimate shown on your dashboard.
What happens to my files?
We use your uploaded files only to prepare and check your dashboard.
Once that month's dashboard is published, we delete the original uploads and retain only the dashboard figures.
Access to your dashboard is restricted to the email addresses you approve.
See your own numbers by the 10th.
Book a 15-minute call. We'll show you how the profit dashboard works and whether it makes sense for your business.
